Our Story
Hello! We’re Bryan and Angela Tison, and we’re excited to share a bit of our journey with you. Our paths first crossed as Cub Scout leaders when our sons were young, and a shared passion for working with kids and teens brought us together in both life and purpose.

Angela has dedicated her career to serving youth through nonprofit organizations, making her the perfect co-owner and office manager of Courageous EDGE. Her behind-the-scenes leadership keeps everything running smoothly while keeping our mission at the heart of it all.

Bryan brings over 15 years of healthcare experience as a Pediatric and Critical Care RN, a Pediatric APRN specializing in Behavioral Mental Health, and a YCI-certified Youth Well-Being Coach. His background offers unique insight into how childhood development, emotional and physical health, the digital age, and the post-COVID world shape our lives. That insight—combined with a heart for mentoring—makes him a powerful guide for clients working to acheive their full potential.
Our Why
Being young is an exciting adventure—but it also comes with real challenges. Between the whirlwind of middle and high school, juggling academics and extracurriculars, and navigating big decisions about college and careers, it’s a lot to manage. Add in family dynamics, friendships, social pressures, the quest for independence, and the importance of self-care, and it’s easy to see why so many teens and young adults feel motivated but unsure of where to start.

That’s exactly why we created Courageous EDGE. As parents of both neurodiverse and neurotypical kids, we recognized a growing need for support in our community—and we wanted to help. Our mission is to empower young men and women to face life’s challenges with confidence and clarity.
